HA! I THOUGHT SO!

From: Der Hexenhammer (The Witch's Hammer!)

Section I

Section I argues that because the Devil exists and has the power to do astounding things, witches exist to help, if done through the aid of the Devil and with the permission of God.The Devil’s power is greatest where human sexuality is concerned, for it was believed that women were more sexual than men. Loose women had sex with the Devil, thus paving their way to become witches. To quote the Hexenhammer “all witchcraft comes from carnal lust, which is in women insatiable!!”

...This is why we have rituals: So that people under the stress that the bereaved presumably feel do not have to improvise. As anyone knows who has attended an embarrassing wedding, amateurs are not good at inventing ceremonies, even for themselves.

I agree. Weddings are embarrassing. Amateurs stink.

From a Pastor I Admire

"I’ve searched and searched the Gospels, which record the words of Jesus, and nowhere do I find that Jesus condemns anyone for whom they love. Jesus does, however, condemn those who take the Holy Scriptures and interpret them so rigidly that the letter of the law is supplanted by the spirit of the law. Jesus does condemn those who treat others as “less than.” Jesus also says that if we want to gain heaven that we should give away our possessions to the poor, and that we should feed the hungry, visit those in prison, and care for the widow and the orphan.

It seems that, according to Jesus, God wants you to live fully as God has created you to be. God wants you to love others as you would yourself. God wants you to care for those who are considered “less than” by our society. So, let me say to you, those of you who are gay and those who are straight: God loves you exactly as you are, exactly as God has created you to be."

I went to vote this morning as I always do. I go down to the end of the road and vote at Vickery Baptist. I've never had any trouble until today. Today the polling place was surrounded by thugs and goons beating the shit outta Jews and Fags. They were wearing Sarah Palin tee-shirts. I outwitted them by acting all straightist and fundamentalist. To be sure, I shouted that the Moose Chili was ready at the barbecue joint down the street. That distracted them long enough for me to participate in history. Phew!
